The Gorman Museum of Native American Art and the UCD Arboretum Learning by Leading Program have been working together to create a new garden in front of the museum on Old Davis Road that is based upon CA Indigenous plants.
Currently an assistant professor of art history at the University of Arizona, Dr. Montiel received her PhD in American Studies from Yale University and worked in the museum field for ten years, including seven years at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. Dr.
Join us in welcoming Holly Wilson to the UC Davis campus. Her artist talk will address several of the artworks in her current solo exhibition at the C.N. Gorman Museum, Talk Story, as well as other current projects.
Join us in welcoming Melissa-Melero Moose and Karma Henry to the C.N. Gorman Museum. In association with the exhibition, Great Basin Artists, they will each be speaking about their recent artwork and the artist collaborative Great Basin Native Artists. Reception to follow.
