The etching, 'Sorry again' references a 1992 speech given to Aboriginal people in Redfern (an inner Sydney suburb known for its high population of Aboriginal Australians), by then Prime Minister, Paul Keating, in which he describes for the first time, the true history of colonialism and its impact upon Aboriginal Australia.
Biography
Raymond Zada is an award winning artist who has made a name for himself in the area of digital media. In 2012 he was awarded the Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Award for ‘Works on Paper’ for his digital print, Racebook, which referred to blatant messages of racism against Aboriginal Australians he gleaned from Facebook.
