Occasionally the Kwahu (Eagle) dancer appears during the Powamu night ceremonies. Usually the personator imitates the step or motion and cry of the eagle.
Biography
Lonnie Nutumya, Jr. is from Tuba City, AZ; Oraibi, Third Mesa AZ. He is son of Lonnie Nutmya Sr. Carving since the 1980s his work has been featured in exhibitions and galleries in the Southwest. (Schaaf, G. 2008: 234)
