Biography
Gregorio "Goyo" Silveira Ortiz and Gloria Hernandez De Silveira are one of the more productive husband and wife teams. He learened to pot fifteen years ago from his brother, Rogelio Silveira Ortiz, and then taught Gloria. They are one of the few couples who work together as a team wile also developing their own styles. Each one signs the pieces he or she paints. Goyo usually fires all of the pots produced in their household.
Gloria's work tends to have bold designs depicting reptiles, birds, or human figures. She produces mainly red ollas, but the couple also produces large tan, black, and yello pots up to twenty inches in height.
