Biography
Francisco J. Dominguez is a Sacramento-based photographer, artist, and art educator. His photographs and portraits allude to the cultural environment of Chicano history and culture, anti-war movements, indigenous and immigrant rights, and social justice. Dominguez's work has brought attention to the injustices on the Mexico/US border and the struggles of immigrating or displaced people. Dominguez works primarily with infrared-sensitive film and black-and-white photography. He also creates original posters by incorporating his photographs with other design elements and text. Dominguez has participated in many exhibitions in the Sacramento area and California.
