Erika Adams, The Future

Erika Adams’s studio practice focuses on the exploration of locating the self within a larger context- particularly within social networks, family, and community. In her work, she investigates how power and meaning are embedded in form and text. The images and installations she creates have a sense of those relationships and are inspired by insect societies, flocks of birds, wrestlers, her familial vernacular, poetry and everyday interactions. Erika is an assistant professor in Print Media at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. She is the master printer of Stinger Editions and the owner/master printer of Eating Dog Press.
