Biography
Dorothy Trujillo was born in 1932 to a parent from Jemez and a parent from Laguna. Dorothy married Onofre Trujillo from Cochiti and learned the Cochiti style of pottery making from Damacia Codero. She was active as a pottery and storyteller maker from 1950 through the 1990s. Dorothy was one of the early potters to make storytellers. Dorothy was a member of the Water Clan. Her sisters include well known storyteller potters and mask makers, Mary E . Toya, Alma Concha, Lupe Lucero, and Fannie Loretto. Dorothy died in 1999.
