Memo / Artist Statement
The Road Runner Katsina appears during the nighttime Kiva Dances or during the Mixed Katsina Dances later in the Spring. Road Runners are desired for their feathers which are used in making certain kinds of prayer plumes.
Biography
Daniel Denet (Danny Denet) is Hopi/Laguna Pueblo/Dine (Navajo), Sun/Eagle Clan. Born May 12, 1965 he resides in Sichomovi, First Mesa, Polacca AZ. He is related to Earl Denet (brother). His work has been shown at several galleries and shops including Museum of Northern Arizona, Heard Museum, Kachina House, and Shiprock Trading Company. (Schaaf, G. 2008: 81-82)
