Memo / Artist Statement
From my travels I have always looked forward to the landscape of Kansas going into Oklahoma. I am always in awe seeing the tall grass blowing in the wind, especially right before sunset. I wanted to emphasize the movement of the grass through the use of agitated cuts on the linoleum block. The markings are abstract, yet thoughtful.
