Arla Lucia (Seneca-Cayuga and Shoshone-Bannock & Blackfoot). I am so honored to work with Arla Marquez on this series for 2019 Indian Market. She is fierce! She gives me hope and is a nod to all the warrior women in Indian Country on the frontlines and protectors of life and home and culture.

Many thanks to Jamie Okuma and Keri Ataumbi/Ataumbi Metals for the gifts of collaboration to indigenize our shero. Make up by Povi Monster Romero and set assists by @santa_fe_photo_studio.
Biography
Born in Inglewood, CA in 1977, Romero was raised on the Chemehuevi Valley Indian reservation along the California shoreline of Havasu Lake in the heart of the Mojave Desert, and later, Houston, TX, and Santa Fe, NM.
