Brenda Besito, Birchbark and porcupine quill basket

Brenda Besito is an Ojibway member of the Saugeen First Nation. She was born in 1957 and was taught quillwork by her mother, Lorraine Besito. After years of independent study, Brenda has perfected many different quilling techniques and has learned to make each basket a unique treasure. Brenda has become one of the best quillworkers in Ontario's Georgian Bay region, and the Wolf Den is proud to feature her baskets.
