Biography
Bernard P. Van Marm Jr., age 69, passed away August 9, 2013 at his residence in Chicago. He was born May 15, 1944 in Chicago, the son of Bernard P. and Dorothy (nee Gluczynski) Van Marm.
Bernard was a gifted artist and photographer who expressed his creativity through many different mediums. He attended the Art Institute of Chicago and one of his prints is displayed there. He enjoyed his work as a videographer at The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art at Navy Pier (Expo Chicago) for many years. He was also extremely passionate about Fourth Dimensional Artwork which has its roots in cubism and serves to explain – in addition to the three conventional space definitions of length, width and height – time. He created a volume of this type of art and also wrote a book on the subject entitled “Beyond the Surface” which he was unable to publish before his death.
