Anne Lewis Hansen, Miniature Acoma Pueblo jar

Anne graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in History and English. Anne was an accomplished Acoma Pueblo potter and presented demonstrations on traditional pottery making at Bay Area colleges and art shows including the Santa Fe Indian Market and the San Francisco Women' Art Fair. She was an active member of the San Jose Indian Community, serving on the Indian Health Board of Santa Clara Valley for 20 years. Anne was also a proud, card-holding member of the American Indian Movement and an activist who protested on Alcatraz Island.
