As a first time expectant mother I am learning much about the wonders of the female body. One such marvel is the temporary organ that forms with the purpose of delivering necessary nutrients et al to growing baby. I chose to pay homage to the placenta in my Transferring Thought print; sustenance, oxygen and intent are transferred from mother to child via this vital organ throughout the miraculous gestational period. Praise of this intimate reliance for survival and beginning is a song rarely heard in the 21st century western world, but one all living humans continue to share.
