Biography
Angela Baca, also known as the “matriarch of the first family of Santa Clara melon pots” has been creating Santa Clara pottery since 1955. She was the first daughter of Severa Tafoya, a popular mid- 20th century potter. Angela continues the family tradition of making pottery and her melon pots come in various shapes and sizes and as both redware and blackware.
