Memo / Artist Statement
Kee Gorman was Carl Gorman's son who died in July 1966 in a car accident. The incident devastated Carl and he stopped painting entirely until he came to UC Davis, when he started painting Chumash Rock art, likely those held in the collections. See Greenberg and Greenberg for further reading.
